One of the largest gantry cranes in Europe set off on a journey from the Kaszubskie Quay in Gdańsk to France last Saturday.
The main load-bearing beam, 140 meters long, manufactured by Baltic Operator at the request of a Finnish customer, was loaded onto a pontoon at the Kashubian Quay along with some of its other elements.
Baltic Operator and Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia S.A. have previously carried out orders for smaller cranes, and the “Goliath” type crane is one of the largest recently manufactured gantry cranes in the world. ”This project shows that as a company we are able to cope with very high requirements set by our client. Our client from Finland appreciates both the technical capabilities, competences and the location of Polish companies, ”says Bartosz Janowski, Project Management and Implementation Director of Grupa Przemysłowa Baltic.
Bon Voyage!
