Adam Kowalski, CEO of Baltic Industrial Group, attended the 13th International Offshore Wind – Logistics & Supplies Conference on 23-24 October to discuss the implementation of QHSE (Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental) standards in the Polish maritime sector.
The conference emphasised the needs for a systemic approach to the development of the industry, which should include, among other things, legislative changes, the development of employee competence and cooperation with suppliers. Such activities are not only aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the maritime sector in Poland, but also at supporting sustainable development, which in turn will contribute to greater investor confidence in the context of renewable energy sources.
Adam Kowalski pointed out the key role of cooperation with external partners, noting that through joint efforts and synergies, the full potential of offshore wind in Poland can be realised.
