Baltic Industrial Group is participating in one of the most prestigious and strategic projects in the nuclear energy sector in Poland. Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia S.A., a member of the Group, has been selected as the supplier of a key component of the AP1000 pressurised water reactor as part of a consortium building Poland’s first nuclear power plant in Lubiatowo-Kopalin.
As part of its cooperation with Westinghouse Electric Company, Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia is responsible for the delivery and installation of a stainless steel reactor cooling and safety system module. The company is currently implementing the first stage of the project, which involves adapting the management system to the requirements of the NQA-1 standard, preparing it for further stages of production in accordance with the highest quality standards.
Investments in infrastructure development, including the purchase of modern machinery, are planned for 2026, when the construction of the mock-up will be completed and work will begin on adapting the production hall for stainless steel processing. The modernisation will enable the implementation of the most demanding industrial projects, including those in the nuclear energy sector.
The Baltic Industrial Group’s involvement in the nuclear power plant project is a strategic opportunity for development in the industry, ensuring a stable future and the possibility of expanding its activities to European markets. In the long term, the implementation of the ISO 19443 quality system is also planned, which will allow for even closer cooperation with European partners such as EDF.
Production of the nuclear power plant in the Pomeranian Province, comprising three AP1000 reactors with a total capacity of 3.75 GWe, is in line with the Group’s Development Strategy for 2025-2035 and is a key element of sustainable, modern energy in Poland.
