Baltic Industrial Group, through its subsidiaries Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia and Baltic Operator, is actively involved in the construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant, located in Lubiatowo-Kopalino. In collaboration with Westinghouse, our Group has been selected to execute tasks during the development phase of quality systems necessary to meet nuclear industry standards.
“Nuclear energy is a strategic development direction that can significantly enhance Poland’s energy security and contribute to economic transformation. Baltic Industrial Group regards its participation in this project as a key step in advancing Polish industry and nuclear technologies,” said Wiktor Neć, Management Board Representative for Nuclear Energy.
The orders undertaken by GPB companies during Phase 1 include establishing the foundations for a quality assurance system compliant with the international NQA-1 standard, which is critical in the nuclear sector. This initiative ensures that Polish suppliers can meet the highest quality requirements, laying the groundwork for both the current investment and future nuclear projects in Poland and beyond.
“Our goal is not only to contribute to the construction of the Lubiatowo-Kopalino power plant but also to position Polish industry as a significant player in the global nuclear technology market,” added Wiktor Neć.
The inclusion of Baltic Industrial Group in the nuclear power plant project underscores the competence and expertise of Polish industry in delivering highly demanding technological projects. The supplier preselection process, concluded in April 2024, adhered to the highest standards of quality and transparency, highlighting the crucial role of local companies in building so-called local content.
