The development of new, transparent, and standardized pay rules for GPB employees has been completed, culminating in the negotiation and signing of the Company Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCBA). The signing ceremony, held on 30 August 2024—the day before the anniversary of the historic Gdańsk August Agreements—was attended by representatives of trade unions and the employer.
Work on the new CCBA began in July of this year and was a priority for the new management team, aimed at establishing fair and transparent remuneration principles. Negotiations were completed as scheduled in August, and the document was signed by representatives from the trade unions within the Baltic Industrial Group.
The signing ceremony took place at the GPB headquarters on 30 August, just before the 44th anniversary of the August Agreements, and included both employee and employer representatives.
On 31 August 1980, a groundbreaking agreement was signed in the BHP Hall at the Gdańsk Shipyard between a government delegation and the Inter-Union Strike Committee, representing over 700 factories across Poland. This historic event paved the way for the formation of independent, self-governing trade unions in Poland and marked a pivotal moment in the political shift within the communist bloc.
