The Baltic Industrial Group, a leader in the production of onshore towers in Poland, is entering into a strategic partnership with the German company VENSYS Energy AG, one of Europe’s leading wind turbine manufacturers. The partnership concerns the implementation of the first package of projects involving the production of 12 wind towers and 5 ESC sections for investments in several European countries.
VENSYS Energy AG, based in Neunkirchen (Germany), belongs to the global Goldwind Group, one of the largest wind turbine manufacturers in the world. The company specializes in the design and manufacture of components for wind energy, providing comprehensive solutions including technical equipment and logistics.
The Baltic Industrial Group will fulfill orders for projects located in the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Germany and in Portugal. Production includes not only tower structures, but also equipment components, stair sets, and transport, which significantly expands the Group’s range of services in the wind energy segment.
In addition, as part of a project implemented in Portugal, the Baltic Industrial Group received an order to manufacture five ESC sections, which are the most demanding structural elements of the towers. These are complex and precise components that require the highest manufacturing skills and experience in working with large steel coils. This order confirms the customer’s trust and proves that GPB is capable of producing the most technologically challenging components of the entire project.
“For us, the cooperation with VENSYS is not only a new contract, but also a strategic step towards further development in the renewable energy sector. Our goal is for the towers built in Gdańsk to operate throughout Europe – from the Atlantic coast to the southern regions of the continent. This proves that the Baltic Industrial Group is ready to implement the most demanding projects in the renewable energy sector,” says Remigiusz Paszkiewicz, President of the Management Board of the Baltic Industrial Group.
The approved schedule anticipates the commencement of deliveries in 2025 and their continuation in the first half of 2026. Production has been planned in stages, in close cooperation with VENSYS design teams, to ensure timely delivery of all components and the highest quality standards.
“This is just the beginning of our cooperation with VENSYS, but also an opportunity for long-term relationships with other companies in the renewable energy sector. Each completed project brings us closer to our goal of becoming the leading supplier of structures for the wind energy industry in Europe,” emphasizes Piotr Urbaniec, Business Development Director at GPB.
The total scope of the project is 12 towers, of which:
- 5 towers for a project in the United Kingdom,
- 7 towers for projects in France, Poland, and Germany,
- 5 ESC sections for a project in Portugal.
