Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia (EPG), a member of Grupa Przemysłowa Baltic (GPB), is continuously strengthening its expertise in the nuclear power field. This year, the company was shortlisted as a supplier for the Westinghouse-operated nuclear power plant in Choczewo. Additionally, EPG has been named as one of the potential contractors for WBS3-type mechanical components for this strategic project. An official audit later this year will be the first milestone in qualifying the company as an official Westinghouse supplier for these components.

The selection of EPG as a potential contractor for the WBS3 components for Poland’s first nuclear power plant marks another significant step in Grupa Przemysłowa Baltic’s cooperation with Westinghouse. Previously, Baltic Operator and Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia, both part of GPB, were among only seven Polish companies eligible to participate in this strategic investment in Pomerania. For Grupa Przemysłowa Baltic, nuclear power is a key strategic development direction. In May this year, the Group’s authorities appointed Wiktor Neć, who has been with GPB since 2018, as Plenipotentiary of the Board of Directors for Nuclear Energy. GPB and its member companies aim to further expand their cooperation with Westinghouse as suppliers of CA03 and SC40 modules.

Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia has successfully delivered specialized steel structures for the Olkiluoto 3 nuclear power unit in Finland, which will be commissioned in 2023. Extending our cooperation with the American supplier of technology for the power plant in Choczewo confirms our commitment to this area and our readiness to undertake such projects.”
